My Thoughts . . .

We live in different worlds . . .
Even though it's a single globe.
The happenings differ as we move across the globe.

In today's world, some nations are deep in conflict, others in disease, and some others in extreme poverty and malnutrition while some others are in a state of calm and seeming peace.
Some nations seem to be making a lot of progress through selfless service to their citizens, while some other leaders are busy looting the resources that have been made available for the collective good of their people.

A times it seems to us that the misfortune in some of these nations is well deserved seeing the poor choices being made by the leaders and the people of those nations.
We can even argue successfully that some national disasters could have been avoided through careful planning and selfless service.

Some of us have taken a stand against these corrupt and selfish governments and have decided to be indifferent to the outcome of this colossal selfishness and man's inhumanity to man that plays out daily on the world scene.

Some others are sad about it, but have maintained a state of passivity and inaction towards these issues.

Others however are passionate about the crisis and are seeking an opportunity to make a change.

Whatever the stance we have taken, I would love for us to think about the helpless babies and children who are caught in this battle of wills.
They did not choose to be born into those nations but found themselves there.

It's sad to note that in some parts of the globe, children under the age of five are sometimes worried about where the next meal will come from. This has caused a situation whereby many of these children are severely malnourished and millions die yearly from preventable causes.

We hereby appreciate the individuals, families, organizations, and world powers that have been of help in solving some of these problems till date. We are grateful for your Samaritan's heart and acknowledge that we could not have made this much progress without your relentless efforts.

We hereby appeal to those who have  the capacity to help but have been indifferent to the ongoing crisis in some parts of the world, to join in the fight. All hands need to be on deck for us to effectively wipe out malnutrition, poverty and reduce the under five mortality rates across the globe.

Together we can unanimously say no to hunger, conflicts, wars and diseases.

Together we can make the world a better place!
